This is the Whitehorse Trail which was a former rail bed between Arlington and Darington. It has been reclaimed by Snohomish County Parks to create a recreational right of way. It starts just North of Haller Park off of the Centenial Trail and ends at Whitehorse Park or Downtown Darington. It has many trailhead access points as it parallels the Stillaguamish River or SR-530. It can be accessible from SR-530 at key pull off trailhead points and at some crossroads.

How to Find It

Go to Haller Park just NE of the intersection of SR-9 and SR-530 in Arlington. Or you can park around the area of the Deer Creek bridge in Oso if you want to start on the East side of this segment.

Typical Conditions

Well drained soils and rail bed gravel with smaller gravel filler to stabilize it for hiking and biking.

Local Points of Interest

Rhodes River Ranch and Restaurant in Oso, and various places in downtown Arlington. There are no real intermediate stops along the route.
