04 / How We Work

A smarter budget.
An engaged community.

Operational efficiency comes from pairing professional crews with Evergreen's engaged volunteer community - an advantage no other trail contractor can match.

Community Engagement Professional Excellence

"Hybrid" Budget

By using a professional crew lead to direct volunteer days, the project can achieve high-end results at a fraction of the cost of a 100% contracted crew. This allows the land manager's budget to go further.

Built-in Maintenance

When a community is involved in the build, they're trained to maintain the trail. This "standing army" of stewards handles routine maintenance β€” clearing drains, removing fallen limbs β€” at minimal cost to the land manager.
